A Street in Monopoli, Puglia: Description
I based this painting on a photograph taken on holiday. I love the light on the upper buildings contrasting against the dark balcony shadows and the dappled shade of the street below. I have enhanced the original colours and stylised the cobbled street to give a semi-abstract effect whilst retaining all the detail of the street in Monopoli to give authenticity.
